ELIGIBILITY: The Esongwriter.com (“Contest”) is open worldwide and to U.S. residents ages 18 and older at the time of entry. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent signed on the entry submission form. Void where prohibited by law.   Federal, state and local laws of New York have Jurisdiction over any disputes or legal matters that may arise via arbitration.

HOW TO ENTER:

1)      Entrants may begin submitting entries for “Round One” contest on January 1^st at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”). All entries must be submitted by May 31^st by 11:59PM EST.

2)      Entrants may begin submitting entries for “Round Two” on June 1^st at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”).  All entries for 2^st contest must be submitted by December 31^st at 11:59PM EST.

3)      Upon submittal of the entry submission form, a conformation email or notice will be sent to the entrant’s and/or to the parent or legal guardian’s email address provided to confirm his or her entry to the contest. Email addresses will be collected only for the purpose of administering this Contest. Online entrants must be the authorized account holder (or the parent or legal guardian of a minor entrant) of the email account from and for which the entry is made. By entering this Contest, entrants and the parent or legal guardian of entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

4)       All songs submitted must be original.

5)      All submissions must be included with a submission form and entry fee(s).

WINNERS from ”Round One” Division will be announced on or after June 30^th  . Winners from “Round Two” Division will be announced on or after January 30^th. Limit of one prize per entrant per round. Winners will be notified by e-mail and/or by mail and may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Affidavit”), which must be returned within 14 days of the date on the notification or an alternate winner will be selected. If the Winner is under the age of 18, the Winner’s parent or legal guardian will be required to execute the Affidavit on behalf of the winner. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Taxes are the winner’s responsibility. Prize acceptance constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winner’s name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes for Esongwriter.com without additional compensation. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any liability associated with the acceptance or use of or inability to use a prize. Winners and the parent or legal guardian of winners acknowledge that prizes are awarded “as is” and that any representation, guarantee or warranty, express or implied, in law or in fact, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose is expressly disclaimed.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By entering, the entrants and the parent or legal guardian of entrants agree to hold harmless the Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize in the Contest, or their participation in the Contest, or their participation in any Contest or prize related activity.

GENERAL TERMS: Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete or illegible entries or Internet technical, hardware, software, telephone, or transmission failures of any kind, which may limit a person’s ability to enter the Contest. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants’ or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend advertising the Contest on the Internet should a computer virus, unauthorized intervention or other cause corrupt the integrity or proper conduct of the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be disrupting the operation of the Contest or its web site. No transfer or assignment of entries is permitted. Entrants retain all rights to music and video submissions but agree to grant non-exclusive, non-commercial rights for usage to the Sponsor.
